Mark Schorr is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. As the child of a Holocaust survivor, Mark learned about trauma and its effects at an early age.
He graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in 1993. He has worked in multiple outpatient settings, including managing a site specializing in dual diagnosis. He was director of staff development for the largest behavioral health care provider in Oregon. He has been trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure, two evidence-based trauma treatments used by the Veteran’s Administration.
Mark developed the Workplace Trauma Support” program for the region’s largest mental health and addictions provider, and has personally helped out in the response to two mass shootings. As the author of multiple articles, he also provides supervision and training. He has worked for more than two decades with male and female trauma survivors. He currently is part of a multi-disciplinary practice in downtown Portland at Pacific Premier Group.
