Course Developers and Presenters:

Sherry L. Harden, Psy.D., ABPP

In practice for 23 years, Dr. Harden began specializing in services to First Responders and Public Safety Agencies in 1998, after graduating from George Fox University. She graduated from WCSO Reserve Academy the same year she was licensed as a psychologist in Oregon (2000), and continued as a Special Deputy as the Team Psychologist for the WCSO CNU.

Dr. Harden provides evaluations, therapy, consultation, and training for (primarily) public safety individuals, families, and organizations. She also provides supervision for Psychologist Residents and students. She has had the opportunity to attend FBI Negotiator school in Quantico (2000), conduct evaluations in Antarctica (2004), and present research in Singapore (2016). Another highlight for Dr. Harden, was serving alongside other psychologists in Rwanda in 2011, learning and exchanging information about healing from community trauma in the aftermath of genocide. Her current passion involves research and training in ethics, ethical failures and their causes, and the effects of trauma on first responders’ decision-making and emotional health.
